The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is a wonderland for outdoor enthusiasts. There are 30+ land and water-based activities with something to do for all ages and ranges of skill. The USNWC also provides instruction and certification courses and regularly hosts races, concerts and festivals.
The USNWC is situated on the Catawba River and the northernmost part of Lake Wylie. It is a favorite attraction for many Charlotte-area residents and draws visitors from across the southeast. Guests looking for a more relaxed outing can bring a blanket and simply kick-back on the grass or take in the summer concert series every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.
